Varaluz 160N05RND Rain Collection 5-Light Linear Pendant is made from hand-forged steel with a recycled hand-pressed rain glass shade and recycled glass raindrops. We loved sudden summer afternoon thunderstorms while growing up. There's nothing quite as relaxing as seeing and hearing the rain pelt against the window panes and on a tin roof. To recreate the impression of beads of rain upon a window, we hand press the recycled glass. The Rainy Night finish is made from streaking eggplant-black glaze over silver. Recycled glass raindrops complete the design downpour. The 160N07RND is 36.75-Inch wide x 22.75-Inch high, and requires five 100-Watt medium base incandescent bulbs (not included), dimmable using a standard incandescent dimmer. The 160N05RND comes one per package, and includes enough wire and cable for a 10-foot drop. I saw this originally in the store, and being an Amazon shopper wanted to see if I could get a better price. Voila, after a while the price was right. Now onto the chandelier. It was as expected, but what I did not know and put it over the top was the fact that you could put the drops in any configuration. The chandelier is in an old house (almost 100) but the modern fixture combined with the hanging glass drops bring a more contemporary flair with a nod to the history of the house. The instructions are not quite right, it states that 1/2 the drops are pre-strung and then to loop in the others. In reality each drop has it's own wire that needs to be strung, but that is what gave me flexibility to design.
