We wanted to get something funky, instead of a plain-Jane chandelier. This light is just that

The chandelier arrived in ok condition. The different "necks" had to be moved around to be symmetrical, which wasn't a big deal. The plate that the necks are mounted to was bent and had to be straightened. With a crescent wrench you can accomplish both tasks. We had to remove the chain links to mount it at a nice height. Not a big deal, but we had to re-wire the transformers to shorten the wires. The chandelier was pretty heavy and I borrowed my wife to balance the fixture on some boxes while I fixed everything up. I guess the weight is actually a good thing; you know it's not a plastic piece of garbage.

Do yourself a favor and buy the bulbs online when ordering the fixture. I had to go to 2 different home stores to score 10 bulbs, and at $12 a piece (12x10=$120) it was pretty pricey. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the transformers have a slight flicker. If you dim the light, it becomes much more apparent. At some point i will probably replace the 12v transformers, but its not high on the list. The other down side is the amount of light it puts out is just sufficient for dining room ambience. You will never say "turn the light down, it's too bright". Keep the wrap on until it is completely installed; polishing all this chrome is a job in itself.

My wife and I like it, so far it's been 50/50 with guests. Some don't get "it", others love it too. Knowing the ups and down, we would buy this light again.
