First, While the instructions look misleading / confusing / wrong, they were not. The product is just slightly counter-intuitive in a couple of ways (the two rails are not coplanar, though one would assume they should be). The alignment of the whole setup is a little bit tedious but that's true with most machinery. The only thing that I would like to see improved in a future version is to see the legs use levelers instead of set screws.

That being said, the product, while not perfect, is very very very good. It cuts extremely well and a sliding table is so much better to use than a crosscut sled. The clamping could be improved (I'm thinking of a way to make this better myself) as well.

A note: I installed mine in the advised configuration (mounting to middle and rear bolt holes for the extension wing) but immediately deduced I would get more out of the setup by using the front and middle bolt holes. Keeping the fence in the normal configuration, I now can crosscut a 30" panel. My "with the fence at the back of the sled" cut capacity was reduced as a side effect but I have never found a need to even mount the fence to the back. I highly recommend going with this setup as well to anyone. There are many occasions where a 27 or a 24 inch crosscut is all you ned to finish the job and this does it.

So, in the real world, I would give this an 8.5-9/10.
