This guide tool makes great straight cuts on doors and other large items. I used a Bosch fine wood blade (and the anti-splinter insert) and the cut on wood doors was as good as a router. It can take the place of many circular and table saw tasks with even better results and one-person operation.

You will also need to buy the Bosch 2607001082 Guide Rail Adapter and 1607960008 Guide Rail Clamps. If you want to double the length (to 110") you will need another Rail Guide and 1602319003 Guide Rail Connector. Also note, it works with the older 1584/1587 saws but not the newer 1590/1591 saws. Unfortunately, Bosch doesn't seem to be offering any alternative at this time for the newer saws.

All in all, an awesome and useful tool. It is also perhaps a good reason to purchase the older Bosch saws which are still offered at an even better price.

Tizio Classic Desk Lamp by Artemide Review

I purchased my first Tizio Artemide over 20 years ago, and that one is still running in my household. At the time, it was one of the first Halogen low-voltages lamps, and the bulb itself was taken directly from a car headlamp. I loved the lamp, as it's design is a rare mix of sheer design beauty and functionality. The light given off by the lamp can be glaring, which is why the transformer has two settings (low/high). It took me a while (about 5 years), but I found out that these lamps are equally great at giving light not only as a 'Task Lamp' (i.e. shining down on your desk), but also as an indirect light source (by turning the head so that it illuminates towards the ceiling).

Earlier models of this lamp had neither the small handle, nor the glass plate that prevents a white-hot bulb from accidentally falling out, and some fires have reportedly started that way. Also, earlier models suffered from spark erosion, making the internal wires in the head brittle over time. Also, the white version of this lamp used to be the black model, painted white - with a rather sub-par paint job. I've never purchased the white version, and haven't seen them available lately.

Over time, I have purchased four of these lamps, and the design improvements are subtle, but notable. The aforementioned glass plate and handle are great additions, and a better internal wiring promises to delay the on-set of wire fatigue.

Twenty years of constant use (with the occasional lamp change, about once every two to three years) have not disappointed. I still think that this is one of the best-looking, best designed lamps, and just today I purchased the fifth (in medium size). I can wholeheartedly recommend this lamp to anyone who is looking for a timeless lamp with great functional design.

This is a good quality faucet with great appeal and styling. The only issue I have with this model is the spout projection. No measurement is offered for the projection on this model and I suspect it may be in the process of change and redesign. The spout projection is too short and the water flows too close to the back of thee sink. It should be increased by about two inches.

...but it could as easily be referenced to Greene & Greene. Not as coppery as I would have hoped, but the verdigris detail is nice and the iridized glass is very rich. My only cavil about the design is the open bottom. A down-light aspect to it is a great, but it's an outdoor fixture. I'm going to have to fashion some screening for it before the spring, or every flying insect in the woods will want in and the glass will have to be cleaned too frequently. In all, well done.

Product Description

This listing is for a set of 3 diamond grinding blocks for use on Edco, General Tool and Stow brand floor grinders. A single head machine uses 3 blocks. These blocks are manufactured with five diamond segments per block for maximum performance and extended life. Our blocks utilize a floating grinding plate that rests on two heavy duty springs allowing just enough play for the diamond segments to conform to inconsistencies in the grinding surface. All five premium diamond segments are welded the full length of the mounting plate to prevent the diamond segments from snapping off when they encounter a drain or other tough spots. Diamond blocks are used to remove surface imperfections in concrete, grind terrazzo, remove epoxy, and level high spots. These diamond blocks are perfect for removing resins and exposing fresh concrete before staining or reapplying coatings. Diamond blocks grind five times faster than abrasive stones and typically last 10,000-30,000 square feet. Depending on several variables such as depth of grind and age of concrete. Edco designed the original Dyma-Serts with 4 segments. While adding segments seems like the best way to improve the life of this product you also need to consider the effect the additional segments have on the grinding performance. When needing to aggressively tear through overcoats and built up mastics blocks utilizing too many segments decrease the overall pressure applied to each individual segment. This will cause the diamond segments to clog and and work harder to penetrate overcoats. We have offset the additional segment on our blocks with a lower grit diamond (24/30 grit) this has proven to be the best of both worlds. Longer life and a very aggressive bite. It is recommended rotating the diamond blocks a few times throughout their life to ensure even wear. Each set comes with our new plastic wedges. Neoprene outlasts wood wedges 100 to 1 and do not swell and shrink with water which can cause the blocks to become loose.

These blocks would be awesome if they weren't shoddily assembled and cast. The blocks have squared edges which should be slightly rounded to fit snuggly in the Edco base. The spring load is nice but they I had to take them apart to clean the rust and the painting overspray to allow them to operated freely. If you get these and there is no spring action, take them apart and grind and sand the castings until they fit and move freely. If you don't, they will fly off your machine at every pass.
