Agreement on the good points of this air conditioner: powerful, energy efficient.

We were not bothered by the sound/noise or strong air flow, and did not find it excessive.

We really dislike the remote. What were they thinking? Or weren't thinking! Without a display, you have no idea where the buttons moved the settings to. The keypad is set up entirely differently from the display on the unit itself: different names, different sides.

The unit has little lights that move beside unlighted indicators, so you know you moved the setting to something, but unless you turn on the room light and go over to the ac to read it (find your glasses if you need them...print is small), you don't know what it moved to. What's the point of the remote?

In a place with great variations of weather (Maine), ac changes are needed several times a day. In a celestial window, it's really inconvenient. We curse this dolt daily with names stronger than can be printed here.

Maddening, and one of those truly stupid design features that:
1. it's good that a live designer is not with you to ask the customer's opinion on site.
2. you just shake your head and wonder why a good product is so marred by one fool.

The company produces a remote with a display. I will look into whether it is possible to purchase one for this unit. Other than that, we like the unit.
