I searched for a long time to find the right light for my living room stairway. I have a slightly 'gothic' theme in my home. Many of my decorating ideas come from Design Toscano. That being said, I wanted an appropriate light fixture to complement my 'castle' theme.

When I finally discovered Capital Lighting's "River Crest" collection, I immediately said to my wife: "That's it! That's the look I want."

Spending $250.00 on a light fixture is not always an easy decision. Especially when I could NOT find a single, solitary customer review about the light! (That's why I'm writing this review -- for all the people who need validation that this is a great product!)

The fixture is viewable from multiple areas of our open floor plan. It's definitely an eye-catcher. Our guests say that the light looks so natural in our home that they can't imagine what was there before. Also, we put the light on a dimmer switch. Dimming this light is truly incredible. At an evening dinner party, I dim the light way down and it really gives the appearance of two lit candles, which is exactly the look I wanted.

Eventually, I plan to get the matching chandelier for our entryway. But first, I have to convince my wife it's worth the $700.00. :)
