Purchased through Amazon and waited the weeks required for the order to be processed and delivered. The faucet itself is well made, well packaged and exactly what I had hoped for from a design point of view. We purchased the entire Pyke collection for our bathroom. The problems started upon installation. This is a water saver design and is advertized at less than 1.5 gallons per minute (documentation shows just over 1 gallon per minute at a range of pressures). I can only get 2 cups per minute... that's half a pint, or one eighth of a gallon. ONE EIGHTH. Needless to say, this looks like a pathetic trickle of water. We have plenty of water pressure, verified by disconnecting one line and turning the water on (water will flow up one line, into the faucet and then shoot back down the other line). We've tried everything we can think of, including replacing the valves on the wall, but I can't get more than 2 cups (hot, cold or mixed flow). The problem is in the faucet, likely the flow restrictor.I've tried to call customer service, but the automated message is telling me to call back between 8AM and 6PM Monday to Saturday. It is Saturday at 2:32PM - I guess they are closed on Saturdays and nobody bothered to update the answering service. I submitted an email 2 days ago and all I have back is an automated response.
UPDATE: There are no instructions, but you can remove the restrictor. The plate around the handle will pop off. The faucet comes with a rectangular tool with lugs that will unscrew the next plastic ring. To remove the brass nut, use the round tool with lugs they supply with a screwdriver inserted in the two holes - it shouldn't need much pressure to turn and will be hand tight after a half turn. The brass restrictor housing should push out (use the hot and cold lines and push upwards - you may need to use two philips head screwdrivers to wiggle it loose - insert them into the holes). The restrictor is a small hex nut with gauze / matting in the center. To remove the restrictor, use an allen key or just insert a wide screwdriver and turn. Without the restrictor, our flow was 2 cups in ~4 seconds (instead of 60 seconds). Compared to the previous flow rate, it is a torrent of water (just under 2 gallons per minute) that is more than sufficient.
I added two stars because I was able to fix the problem. If I had purchased the product as it is now (~2gpm flow), I would give it 4 stars.
