These are the best! I have always built corrals using railroad ties for the posts, and 16' lodge pole pine for the horizontal poles nailed together with ring shank pole barn nails. When replacing some pens late this summer I couldn't get any pole barn nails. I found TimberLOK and HeadLOK screws, they go in easily and best of all, if you need to change the horizontal poles they come right out rather than requiring a sledge hammer and bolt cutters to change the poles. Pole barn nails require pre drilling and the headLOK's don't. They are more expensive than ring shanks, but work a whole lot better!
